In 2019 and 2020, we assembled an amazing Advance Reader Team that agreed to read the early drafts of the book and offer their feedback and insights. This group included parents of young readers as well as formerly incarcerated parents (as well their co-parents), child therapists, criminal justice professors, and leading voices in the movement to transform the criminal justice system. The latter included politically progressive leaders from Equal Justice USA as well as politically conservative leaders from the Charles Koch Institute, both of whom have endorsed the book.
